ruby-1.8.5.sh
OS: *nix (tested on Debian, Ubuntu Breezy, Ubuntu Dapper) Notes: Requires make, Takes one parameter, the prefix value for the ./configure, if left blank, will default to /usr/local/ ./ruby.sh /usr This script downloads and builds ruby 1.8.5 from source. Designed because debian doesn't have ruby 1.8.5 in stable sarge repositories.
